Rick Strassman
Biography
Rick Strassman, born February 8, 1952, in Los Angeles, USA, is an American psychiatrist and researcher renowned for pioneering human studies on DMT, the 'spirit molecule.' From 1990 to 1995, he conducted the first U.S. government-approved and funded clinical trials at the University of New Mexico, injecting 60 volunteers with DMT, producing near-death, mystical experiences, and encounters with intelligent nonhuman entities resembling aliens. Strassman hypothesizes that endogenous DMT from the pineal gland explains alien abduction phenomena, near-death visions, and spiritual states. His seminal book, 'DMT: The Spirit Molecule' (2001), details this research and its implications. Previously a Professor of Psychiatry at UNM and fellowship holder at UC San Diego, his work bridges psychedelics and UAP-related consciousness exploration, though not directly tied to military UFO programs.
