Alexander Moreira-Almeida
Biography
Alexander Moreira-Almeida is a Brazilian psychiatrist and Full Professor of Psychiatry at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, where he founded NUPES, the Research Center in Spirituality and Health. He has authored over 220 academic papers (9,900+ citations) and was awarded the 2025 Oskar Pfister Award by the American Psychiatric Association for his research on mediumship and spiritual experiences.
